BWF Player of The Year 2019: 6 Pebulu Tangkis Indonesia Masuk Nominasi

Sedangkan dari kategori Most Improved Player of the Year 2019, ganda campuran Indonesia, Praveen/Melati akan memperebutkan penghargaan ini bersamaan dengan Michelle Li (Kanada), Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty (India) dan Kim So Yeong/Kong Hee Yong (Korea).

Dari enam wakil tersebut, dua di antaranya merupakan atlet parabadminton Indonesia. Leani Ratri Oktila yang tahun ini sukses mendulang total 12 medali emas, dua perak dan satu perunggu, kembali masuk ke dalam daftar nominasi Female Para Badminton Player of the Year 2019.
